Sullivan is a small, rural town in Cheshire County, southwestern New Hampshire, with a population of 682 as of the 2023 estimate. It was incorporated on September 27, 1787, from parts of Gilsum, Keene, Nelson, and Stoddard, and named in honor of General John Sullivan, a Revolutionary War hero and former governor of New Hampshire.
